Suspension

The RV Suspensions you find are one of two types:

  1. Leaf Springs Coils
  2. Air Springs

Usually the Leaf Springs are found on the gas powered RV’s where the Air Springs are found in the diesel powered RV’s primarily Class A’s. The diesel powered Class C’s generally have the leaf spring type suspension with the exception of the Super C diesel powered RV’s that might have Air suspension.

The Leaf spring suspension are bigger versions of what you find in most automobiles. They are usually easier to maintain and require less frequent maintenance.

The Air suspension provide an improved ride over the leaf spring counter parts but are costly to maintain and to troubleshoot.
