Q: What is a Chassis? 

A:  A chassis has a motor, transmission, steering wheel and tires. A chassis is drivable. They are found in the follow RV Types:

  • Class A (Motorhome / Diesel Pusher)
  • Class B
  • Class C
  • Super C
  • Bus Conversion / Skoolie

Q: Does a fifth wheel have a chassis?

A: No, a fifth wheel has a frame. A chassis is found in every drivable RV. Towable RV’s will have a frame.
